Quotable Quoate
Mike Huckabee

Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee blew through Greensboro this afternoon to pick up a few checks to finance his campaign effort.

I met him at the door, camera, reporter and gaggle in tow.

The smooth talking Arkansas Governor threw out quotes and quips left and right and sometimes up and down but during his 15 minutes of Greensboro fame he left us with this little beauty that, if not for a writer's strike, would be great late nighte fodder I'm sure.

Huckabee said, "The reason that we're so afraid of Iran is because they've got enough oil money to build a reactor. Do you think they could build a reactor if all they had to sell was rugs? I don't think so. So because of our deopendence upon their oid and the saudi's oil we find ourselves once again scared to death of what they can do with the money that guess where they got it... from us."

Hello Mr. Photog,

I found your blog through a Google search. I used to be a TV News cameraman from 1985 through 1996, back before blogging gained any traction. Being a photog offers endless interesting, unique material for filling a blog, as your posts celarly attest. I've enjoyed reading your posts - they bring back memories of some of my experiences.

I was up in my attic the otehr day and found som eof my old tapes. I'm in the process of transferring them to a format I can post on my web site, which is not about TV news but does include some trips back to that time in my life. If you have a moment I'd be honored it you'd take a look at my website at www.thecampingmachine.com. I've added your blog to my links and will check back often to read what it's like to to a Photog these days. Keep up the great posts.

Hey now, those fancy rugs are expensive. It wouldn't surprise me if they were able to build a reactor strictly from rug revenue.

That damn writer's strike needs to come to an end, I have to get my fix off of recycled Alberto Gonzales jokes, damnit!
