News "Who" Rules?

OK, I deserved it. Karma caught me. And a high school student is probably giggling his little head off tonight. (Yeah, it had to be a guy)

I found this on Unit 15 after a shoot at an area high school this morning.

News 2 Rules

My problems started the day before. I had an assignment at a high school 50 miles for the next morning and after taking a quick multi-tasked look at the assignment sheet I filed the Wednesday task away in the back of my head.

When I arrived home Tuesday evening I programmed my GPS for the school so I'd know how much time to give myself for an early departure the next morning.

It wasn't until I arrived at the school right on time Wednesday morning that I realized that I had the wrong school in mind. They both started with an "M" and were in the same county in 15 mile radius.

I made my way to the correct school, called them to let them know, and still got the story, no problem.

Hello,

I'm sorry to leave this message in your comment box, but I did not see an email address for you on your blog. I found your site after I Googled TV News Photographer blogs. Your blog came up on the first page in the search rankings.

I am a former TV news photographer from the Salt Lake City market. I’ve been out of the business for over 10 years now, but I still like to read stories from TV News Photogs. Blogs were not very big when I was shooting news, but if I were still shooting today I would certainly have a blog.

I’ve enjoyed reading your recent posts. You are a very good writer and I will bookmark your site to keep up with your posts.

I notice in your blogroll you link to some blogs or sites that are not directly related to TV News photography. I'm writing to see if you would be interested in trading links with me. I have a website called The Camping Machine (www.thecampingmachine.com ) where I describe the travels and adventures of my young family in our travel trailer, including photos and videos, along with some feel-good stories in my blog.

If you would be willing to ad my site to your links I will link back to your site. You many not need or want more links, but I'm trying to grow my readership and want to add links from quality sites like yours. If you are interested in this please send me an email at campingmachineguy@gmail.com . Thanks very much for considering this and keep up the great work on your site.

Either way, thanks for your consideration.

Thanks,
Camping Machine Guy
