The Emmy was for a story in the category of General Assignment Report - 24 Hours, for his story about the last day of classes at Nancy Reynolds School.
The school was torn down after 86 years of operating and a communities long effort to save the historic structure.
Chad worked really hard to cultivate that story and make sure he had the right elements to make it sing.
And with the shooting and editing of photojournalist Allen Fairbanks Jr, Chad crafted a story that was visually and emotionally stunning.
Fairbanks has since left Fox 8 and moved to Tennessee with his family where he is still working in Television.
